Farmers’ market opens May 7

The Bethel Park Farmers’ Market opens for the season on May 7.

The market is scheduled from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Sept. 25 in the parking lot in South Park along Corrigan Drive. Enjoy musical guests, special educational speakers, story time with friends from the Bethel Park Public Library and more.

Job fair scheduled

In an effort to help its local business community obtain a robust workforce, the municipality of Bethel Park in cooperation with the Bethel Park Chamber of Commerce, will hold a free job fair.

The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon April 27 at the Bethel Park Community Center, 5151 Park Ave. For job seekers, a variety of free resources will be available, including resume assistance, advice on setting up LinkedIn profiles, job search techniques, interviewing tips, and signups for free Bethel Park Public Library computer courses.

Schoolhouse Art Show

South Arts will present its first Schoolhouse Art Show and Artist Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 4 and 5 at 2600 South Park Road, Bethel Park.

The show includes an artists’ market with local vendors displaying and selling their work throughout the first floor, and South Arts members’ artwork for sale in the co-op room of the historic schoolhouse. Jewelry, cards and matted prints are also available.

There will be a basket raffle with chances to win artwork with the proceeds donated to the Bethel Park Historical Society. Reginald’s Coffee, located in the building, is open until 2 o’clock.

St. Valentine’s flea market

The St. Valentine’s Women’s Guild is sponsoring an indoor flea market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 27 in Frawley Hall, 2710 Ohio St., Bethel Park.

Featured will be more than 75 vendor tables, a café for lunch, desserts at a bake sale and 50-50. There is no charge for admission.
